Chapter Meeting tomorrow, Tuesday October 17th

Just a reminder that we have our rescheduled (September)  Meeting tomorrow, Tuesday October 17th at 7pm at the Erie Elks Lodge on Peninsula Drive.

Bill Glecos will be reporting on his attendance at the recent Wild Trout Summit.  Also, he will go over the  Allegheny National Forest Spawning Survey being sponsored by Trout Unlimited and the US Forest Service that will take place on November 12th.  Meeting to be held at 9:30 am in Sheffield PA to provide training on Redd Identification and to distribute supplies.  After that, teams will then travel to their assigned stream sections to conduct their surveys.

Working in teams of two, it will require hiking and/or wading sections of small streams in the forest, identifying redds, taking GPS coordinates for their locations and recording your data.  Hiking/wading distance will range from one to three miles and may include some rugged sections.

After the business portion of the meeting, Bill will give a slide show of his recent trip to Montana and fishing the Blackfoot River.

So bring a friend and let's see you there!
